LIST: Most Affordable Vacation Spots in the U.S.

Is the cost of travel keeping you at home? While there are plenty of five-star resorts and locations that are worth saving up for, you don’t have to wait to afford some getaways and new research reveals where those budget-friendly vacays can be found.

  • Optimos Travel has released a list of the most affordable vacation destinations in America.
  • The travel company looked at a list of over 100 well-known spots in the U.S., analyzing each one to find the daily meal expenses, cost of public transportation, accommodations and attractions fees.
  • Based on all that, they’ve found that the Outer Banks, North Carolina, is the least expensive vacation destination.
  • The cost of a 7-day vacation for a family of four there is about $3,248.
